Technical Help
We are sorry you have experienced difficulty accessing members-only areas of the insider's Web site or getting your insider by e-mail. Below please find information on specific e-mail problems as well as possible fixes.
My text-only e-mail did not arrive: If you are getting other e-mail, but not the insider, the most likely explanation is spam filtering. Please see our section on spam filtering below.
My PDF attachment did not arrive: If you normally get PDF attachments from other senders, it could be an issue of file size. Ask your technical department whether your mail server has a size limit, or whether your server blocks attachments. In some cases, people who do routinely get attachments are unfamiliar with the process for downloading and opening them. While many e-mail programs handle this automatically, some do not.
My HTML e-mail was blank: Perhaps your e-mail program is unable to receive HTML e-mails. If this is the case, we can sign you up for e-mail in a different format.
Spam filtering: Spam filters are adjusted almost daily as network administrators battle the growing number of unwanted e-mails (and the resulting user complaints). Since the insider is sent by a bulk e-mail program, it is automatically suspicious to spam filters. Additionally, the insider sometimes has word combinations that can trip spam filters.
If your company's spam filtering is handled on site, you can probably ask your technical department to exempt e-mail sent from "lists.nandomedia.com" from spam filtering. Many ISPs also allow you to always accept mail from a specific sender. Another option is switching to PDF delivery. PDF attachments are largely immune to content scanning.
Best defense: E-mail delivery is imperfect in the best case and becomes less reliable as stricter barriers are put in place against spam and computer viruses. The best way to always have access to the daily insider is to keep your Web login information handy. Every basic e-mail subscription to the insider includes access to our Web site -- www.ncinsider.com -- at no extra cost.
Logging onto www.ncinsider.com: Remember, your username for the Web site is your full e-mail address (jjones@domain.com, ldavid@ncmail.net, etc.).
If you do not remember your password, use the Lost Password link in the Member Center area on the left navigation bar. After confirming that your account exists by checking your e-mail address, the Web site will send you an e-mail containing your password.
If you continue to have trouble or need further help, please write to us at service@ncinsider.com. Please include your phone number and a brief description of the problem.
